King Buck Safaris: Big Bears in Saskatchewan

For the second year in a row, the Boys hit the road, making their way to King Buck Safaris in Saskatchewan after big color-phase black bears with "King Buck" himself - Larry Leschyshyn.
Dan Wallace and Taft Love made the trip this year, and, as always, Larry had things all ready for them. We've said it before... Larry knows bears. If you're serious about hunting big black bears, Larry's a guy you need to see. The baits were popping with bears and the action was fast and furious.
With bears hitting the ground every day, Dan continued a chess game he started last year with an old, smart color-phase bear affectionately named "Big Red." We hunted this bear last year, and had him almost in range one evening only to watch him follow a hot sow back into the bush. This year, Larry had trail camera pictures of Big Red, and, after a year of plotting the next move, the game was back on...

The kids set the pace, all the Backwoods Boys had to do was keep up! From opening day of Kentucky's Youth Turkey Season to the last day of the Ohio Spring Turkey Season, it was an exceptional season.
